Windsor elementary schools are one of the top reasons people move to Windsor and love to live here. Having great schools are so important to a community and Windsor schools are the pillar of the community. Most of Windsor’s neighborhoods are serviced by the Weld RE-4 school district. Since Windsor is a bordering town we have a few locations where homes fall under the Poudre and Thompson R2-j school districts. This would pertain to the communities located in Larimer County vs. Weld County in Windsor.
It’s always best to check the current school boundary lines for the most up to date information. As Windsor and Northern Colorado continues to grows, as new construction communities develop, the Weld RE-4 school district plans to add more elementary schools in the future which could shift the boundary lines to assign students to newly built schools.
One thing I love about Windsor elementary schools are there locations. Windsor elementary schools are generally located inside residential neighborhoods vs busy main roads. The neighborhood locations makes walking or riding bikes to and from school easy for students and parents. Weld RE4 schools provide bus service for students living more than a mile from the school.
During this time of Covid-19, all Windsor elementary schools are open for full time learning with face coverings for students.

Finding a school that offers a positive and nurturing environment is so important.
